Birdie is a small, yet important character in Sonic Adventure. This young bird’s purpose in Sonic Adventure, was well, to actually give Amy a reason to be there. The story begins with Amy walking from the grocery store on another boring day. When a young, injured bird crashes into her bag. Amy helps the bird, and gives it the name Birdie. Amy opens the small locket around Birdie’s neck and notices a picture of it’s mother and father. Amy then sets off on her adventure to find Birdie’s parents. Along the way, Amy is chased by two of Eggman’s robots, E-100 Zero, and E-102 Gamma. Both robots want the bird, but Amy doesn’t know why. Towards the end of her story, Birdie reveled that it had swallowed a Chaos Emerald. No idea how it fit down it’s throat, but it did. At the end of the story, Birdie is happily reunited from with it’s parents. Birdie hasn’t been seen since.
